From my lens

When I first started diving, everything under the water was like a dream come true—every little movement, every big or small creature. Back then, I didn’t have a camera to capture those moments, but some images still flash in my mind. It was like a whole new world, full of endless wonders waiting to be explored.
Now, with my camera in hand, I’m on a mission to share the magic of the underwater world with everyone I can. The beauty that first took my breath away and continues to inspire me with every dive is what I want to show the world.
Jalvan

My name is Ahmed Shater, but most know me as Jalvan. I’m a professional SSI and PADI Diving Instructor with over 10 years of experience and an underwater photographer from Egypt. The ocean isn’t just where I work—it’s my home. When I’m on land, I feel like a visitor, eagerly waiting to return to the depths.
I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the globe, diving into most of the world’s oceans and capturing their beauty through my lens. With more than 6,028 dives to my name, every dive is a new chapter in my ongoing pages beneath the waves.
Join me as I share my passion for the underwater world, one dive and one photo at a time.
